The Sun Rubber Company of Barberton, Ohio was founded in 1923. They focused on educational, recreational toys, office supplies and surgical goods. During WW2 they produced numerous items for the war effort including rubber masks, grommets and fuel cells. They are best remembered in history for producing the famous Mickey Mouse gas mask and other Disney masks.
In 1974 the Sun Rubber Company closed due to a strike over economic issues and working conditions.
